Meet The Illustrator
My name is Zeke Sons and I am a Published Freelance Illustrator & Cartoonist from Kansas City, MO. With a passion for visual storytelling I’m always looking to collaborate with authors, publishers, and creative teams who has visions that I can help become visuals.
I’ve worked on books such as the Bertie & Owl series and The Great Toy Strike. Bringing a fun and nostalgic art style to every opportunity.
my story
In high school, I was known as the student who was always doodling. Anytime there was empty space on the side of my homework, I’d fill it with little cartoons and ideas from my imagination. Those everyday sketches helped me discover my style, and eventually I started sharing my work online.
During my senior year, I reached out to a publishing company, sharing samples of my work and expressing my interest in collaborating. Not long after, I was given the opportunity to illustrate a children’s book called Bertie Loves Summer. That expierence helped launch my career as an illustrator and I’ve brought that same passion to each new project ever since.
